Job Description
- Collaboration with Development Team:
- Work closely with the development team to ensure thorough and effective unit testing is conducted before delivering software to the QA team.
- Collaborate with developers to address any identified issues during unit testing and facilitate resolution.
- Change Tracking and Work Distribution:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive system for tracking all software changes, ensuring visibility into the development process.
- Equitably distribute testing assignments among QA team members based on their expertise and availability.
- Automation Project Management:
- Lead the setup of automation projects using Selenium/Cucumber to automate UI test cases, enhancing the efficiency and coverage of testing efforts.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Release Management:
- Allocate adequate time and resources to the QA team during major release cycles to conduct thorough testing.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure a smooth and reliable release process, minimizing the impact on production environments.
- Central Repository for Test Cases:
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository for all test cases, ensuring version control and accessibility for the QA team.
- Implement organization-wide standards for test case documentation and storage.
- Test Metrics Reporting:
- Implement and maintain a system to track and report on the number of test cases passed and failed.
- Provide regular and transparent reports to stakeholders, highlighting key quality metrics and areas of concern.
- Training and Skill Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training program for all QA team members, ensuring equal exposure to new skills and technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to incorporate relevant training content.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Implement mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the performance of the QA team.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify areas of improvement and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team capabilities.
- Cross-functional Communication:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between QA team members and other cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Adherence to Quality Standards:
- Ensure adherence to established quality assurance standards and processes within the QA team.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall testing effectiveness.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant working experience.
