Job Description
As the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at TCPWave, you will be responsible for defining and leading the cybersecurity strategy to protect our organizations information assets and technologies. You will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data across all business units. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats and the ability to implement effective security measures.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the organization.
- Incident Response: Lead the incident response team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and others as applicable.
- Security Operations: Oversee security operations, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to safeguard the organizations information systems.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Technology Integration: Collaborate with the IT and product development teams to integrate security best practices into the design and deployment of TCPWave products and services.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors on the status of the organizations security posture.
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, incident response, and compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team of security professionals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
