Layout Engineer Job description in brief
Skills required for a Plant Layout Engineer:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment to develop a comprehensive plant layout that optimizes production efficiency. Identifying cost-saving opportunities through layout optimization.
- Knowledge in design and planning of plant logistics, earthworks, roads, drainage and sewerage facilities.
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of equipment, including electrical, piping, and structural design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools. Reviewing detailed 3D models of the plant layout using CAD software to visualize and analyze po tential issues before construction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skillsRole & responsibilities
