Analog Layout Engineer is crucial in the development of analog integrated circuits (ICs) as they are responsible to perform converting circuit designs into physical layouts that can be manufacture on silicon wafers. They meticulously translate schematic diagrams and specifications provided by analog circuit designers into detailed layouts of circuit components. Their expertise lies in optimizing performance and ensuring that the layouts align with the latest standards and specifications. This role also stays updated with advancements in process technologies and layout methodologies to maintain the manufacturability and efficiency of their designs.
What you will do
Estimating layout size and resource requirements
Work with designer in floor plan of the chip
Work with designer to ensure high quality layout and to meet process requirements
Work with designer to implement layout design, perform DRC, LVS, ERC and antenna checks
Support designer to do potential failure mode analysis such as electromigration, ESD & Latch-up
What you will need
BSEE, or equivalent
4-10 years experience in Analog layout
Familiar with Linux, capable of setting layout environment.0.13um, 0.18um, 90nm or 65nm and experience in IC tape-outs.
Experience in Cadence is essential.
Deep understanding of semiconductor devices and BCD process flow
Experience in handling Top level layouts as a Layout Design Lead. Ability to work on fullchip floorplaning meeting fullchip layout requirements like ESD, LU etc.
Experience in layout design of any of these products: Sigma-delta modulators, DC-DC Converters, Galvanic Isolation products
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to create quick solutions in order to keep designers productive is crucial.
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Good oral and written English communication skills
