Position : Assistant/Dy. Manager- Process Safety

Role Purpose

Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive system to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with chemical processes, ensuring safe operations by overseeing

procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong safety culture to prevent accidents and comply with relevant regulations; essentially acting as the primary guardian of process safety within the facility.

Role Reports to : Head-EHS

Location : Dahej

Qualification : BE/B Tech.- Chemical Engineering

Years of experience ; 5 to 7 Years or More

Key Focus Area

➢ Complete process safety reviews and develop recommendations for addressing process

safety issues

➢ Provide risk assessment through the use of risk analysis techniques and tools

➢ Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes

➢ Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations,

hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment

➢ Investigate industrial accidents, injuries related to operations and processes

➢ Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to

work hazards

➢ Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and

accidents

➢ Review employee safety programs to determine their adequacy

➢ Provide coaching to plants on identification and resolution of process safety issues

➢ Involve from projects stage in the safe design of new projects.

➢ Develop and review PSM related standards, guideline and procedures.

Threshold skills and capabilities required to execute the role

➢ Experience and expertise in PSM Technical workings such as:

➢ Process hazard analyses(PHA) by any mean HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA & LOPA

➢ Human Factors Review

➢ Management of Change (MOC)

➢ Pre-Start-up Safety Review

➢ Knowledge and understanding of Design aspects like fire protection escalation mitigation,

Hazardous area classification, noise mitigation, Cause and Effects, safeguarding

memorandum, 3-D Model reviews.

➢ Hazard identification, Risk assessment, Process Safety report preparation, Process safety

performance monitoring and auditing
