Job Description
- As a Senior Manager in the Scheduling & Procurement department, you will be responsible for optimizing production schedules, coordinating procurement activities, and ensuring efficient resource utilization
- This role requires a strategic approach to scheduling, strong procurement skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals
- Key Responsibilities:Production Scheduling:Develop and manage production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts, ensuring on-time delivery of products
- Collaborate with production, sales, and logistics teams to optimize production plans based on capacity and resource availability
- Procurement Strategy:Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services
- Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
- Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels and work closely with production and logistics to maintain optimal stock levels
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
- Cost Control:Monitor procurement costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines
- Conduct regular cost analyses and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with various departments, including production, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination of scheduling and procurement activities
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to address issues and align strategies
- Supplier Relationship Management:Foster positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain
- Address and resolve issues with suppliers and work collaboratively to improve performance
- Risk Management:Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to proactively address challenges
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor the Scheduling & Procurement team, providing guidance and support for professional development
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team
