SDE 2- Android

Purpose of This Job:

• You will be working with the world class engineering team in designing and developing high quality modern mobile applications in Fin-tech
• Your contribution to the Android development team will have a direct impact of touching millions of users

Responsibilities:

• Develop Android applications using Kotlin with a focus on Jetpack Compose for UI development.
• Implement features following the MVVM architecture with Clean Architecture principles.
• Integrate with REST APIs using Retrofit and manage dependency injection using Hilt.
• Write unit tests to ensure high code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews, identifying potential bugs and optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android tools and development best practices.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of professional experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development.
• Solid understanding of MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
• Proficient in dependency injection using Hilt.
• Experience with Retrofit for API communication.
• Familiarity with Android development best practices, including responsive layouts and UI/UX principles.
• Strong understanding of unit testing and experience with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito).

Good to have (not mandatory)

• Previous startup experience would be a huge plus
• Previous exposure to the Fintech industry would be nice
• Have published at least one large scale Android app
