Role & responsibilities

Projects Planning, Designing, Developing and execution of instrumentation related activity of various projects in the complex. This involves,

• Preparing cost estimation for Instrumentation in Projects.
• P & ID review
• Control Room Architecture design
• Technical Data Verification
• Sizing & Selection of Process Instruments
• Instrument Layouts design
• Instrument Index Creation
• Instrument Specification preparation
• Flow sensor & Control valve sizing review
• Instrument / JB location plot plans review
• Cable tray routing and Cable schedule
• Loop drawings review
• Hook up drawings review
• Analyzer Sample conditioning System
• Design of System using PLC/DCS
• DCS/SCADA I/O assignments
• Selection of Cables and Formulation of Specifications
• Preparation of Material Take Off list for Erection Hardware
• Plant Network and Communication System
• Familiarity with ANSI. ISA, IS and BS standards related to Instrumentation
• Formulation of Specifications for Instrumentation Control Panels, JBs
• Design of Control Panels and review
• Study of Control Power Supply
• Procurement activities through SAP
• Techno-Commercial evolution of suppliers/vendors offer.
• FAT/SAT of Control system & Quality Inspection of Field Instruments
• Installation, calibration and commissioning of complete Instrumentation & systems
• effectively managing company and contract manpower for various project execution
• Periodic reporting of progress
• Project Handing-Over & Documentation
• Documentation for ISO 9001-2000, 14001, 45001, Active participation in improvement program such as 5S, LSS, RCA, PSRM

Hands on Experience with following will be an added advantage:

A) Engineering Software:

• Intergraph Smart Plant Instrumentation - SPI (Intools)

B) Distributed Control Systems:

• Honeywell Experion (EPKS) system

C) Special Systems:

• Bently Nevada Series 3500 Condition Monitoring systems, Configuration software and its Data Acquisition System.
• Woodward 505E Electronic governing system for Steam Turbine/Turbo Generator

D) PLC and Data Acquisition Systems:

• Siemens S7 series

E) Other Equipments:

• UPS, PA System, CCTV - engineering, technical evaluation, procurement.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification: BE/BTech Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation

Experience: 3-10 Years in Instrumentation Projects & Maintenance
