Controls & Embedded Systems Lead

Job Description: Role & Responsibilities:

As the Software Engineering Leader, you will manage and guide the calibration and controls teams in India, driving the development of cutting-edge tools, systems, and processes for automotive control systems, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of calibration and control engineers, ensuring alignment with global objectives and fostering collaboration.
• Control Systems & Embedded Development: Oversee the development of software for transmission and powertrain control systems, ensuring compliance with automotive standards and performance targets.
• Process Improvement: Implement state-of-the-art tools and methodologies, driving continuous improvement in software development, calibration, and testing.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management, providing progress updates and facilitating teamwork across departments.
• Project Management: Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and timelines while resolving inefficiencies and ensuring successful delivery.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and automotive regulations, supporting risk assessments and system reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Master's degree in automotive, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in automotive control systems, embedded software development, and calibration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Expertise in calibration tools, software development (MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, AUTOSAR), and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
• Experience with Agile practices and functional safety standards (ISO 26262) is a plus.
• Proven experience in servant leadership, team building, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
