Lead Off-highway Design

Role & responsibilities

• Having experience in Agricultural, Construction or Heavy machineries. Experience in the Tractor industry will add additional advantage.
• Experience in Leading & Managing the team.
• Sound knowledge on
• Design of Fabricated structures to decide sections of structural members, materials, and weld size
• Sheet metal design for structural parts as well as exterior panels.
• Fastened structures to decide bolt sizes, nuts, washer, lock pins, etc...
• Basic understanding on Casting parts
• Should be able to provide suggestions on Weight Reduction and Design optimization.
• Knowledge on hydraulic piping routing for
• Selection of Tube & Hose selection e.g. Diameter, Length, Bending radius
• Selection of piping fittings e.g. Valves, Flanges, Couplings, various Connectors, O-rings, Fixed tubes, Flexible hoses, etc.
• Deciding Clamp and Tie locations.
• Having knowledge of DFM and DFA.
• Having knowledge on GD&T
• To conduct the Design review meetings and coordinate with various teams e.g. CAE, Hydraulic, Manufacturing, Vehicle Integration team to meet design objectives.
• To comprehend the feedback from various teams (e.g. CAE, Hydraulic, Manufacturing, Vehicle Integration team) and implement it into design changes.
• Maintain design change management documents with necessary supporting documents.
• Should be able to guide and mentor the team members to meet the objectives in the given timeline.
• Hands on experience with CAD software for 3D CAD modelling and drafting.
