Category Manager - Sell Side - FMCG/Staples (4-8 yrs)

About the Role :

- We are seeking a Strong Category Manager with 3+ YOE as a Category Manager in FMCG Goods Category (like Staples etc) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have experience in creating and executing category strategies, including SKU-level sales planning, you should be able to drive sales performance and manage P&L - achieving category margin targets.

- We are looking at someone with hands-on experience with pricing strategy, cost analysis, and competitor pricing assessments with strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, sales forecasting, and data analysis.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Understand customer needs and decision making criteria with respect to your category

- Understand market trends and factors shaping customer demand

- Understand competing options available to the customers across offline and online channels

- Own the sales and margin targets for your category

- Create and own category strategy. Create and execute monthly, quarterly annual sales plans by planning sales at single SKU level

- Translate into detailed and actionable plans with clearly defined owners and checkpoints

- Own pricing and price competency for all products in your category

- Own creation and execution of targeted promotions & campaigns Track campaign performance -daily and work with merchandising and marketing teams to improve ROI.

- Own the on-app experience - look and feel of the app; esp around your category pages

- Analyze on-app behavior of customers (search, traffic, conversion funnel etc) and improve all key metrics

- Improve discoverability of the right products
