Lead Backend Developer - Java/Node.js (7-14 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead the backend development efforts, ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our gaming platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust backend solutions that enhance our user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems for the platform.

- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features.

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of backend services.

- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Implement best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize existing codebase.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Proficiency in Java and Node.js; experience with React/React Native is a plus.

- Strong experience with messaging systems like Kafka.

- In-depth knowledge of databases : MySQL, Redis, MongoDB.

- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

- Background in card or money gaming companies is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
