Job Description

Job Summary:

- The Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Mutual Funds will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our mutual fund business within a designated geographic territory.

- This dynamic position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the financial markets and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

- The ASM will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key distribution partners, including financial advisors, banks, and other channels, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the designated territory.

- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with potential distribution partners.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at distribution partner firms.

- Conduct product presentations and training sessions for financial advisors and other channel partners.

- Provide ongoing support and guidance to financial advisors on product knowledge and sales strategies.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Team Management & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team goals.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.

- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Address client inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients on investment decisions.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices.

- Monitor and mitigate potential risks associated with sales activities.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.

- MBA or relevant certifications (e. , CFP, NISM) is preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in the mutual fund or financial services industry, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.

Skills:

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

- Strong understanding of the financial markets and investment products.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
