Job Description :

The Sr. Engineer Cloud Solution (L3) is a senior-level role focusing on managing, designing, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and solutions.

The role demands strong expertise in cloud technologies, Python automation, and Linux server management.

This is an individual contributor (IC) role that requires hands-on involvement rather than people management responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities :

A) Infrastructure Management :

- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems, with at least 5 years of recent, hands-on experience managing Linux servers.

- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure including compute/VMs, storage (local/SAN), and networking (IPv4/IPv6).

- Implement monitoring tools and strategies to ensure system reliability and performance.

B) Automation and Development :

- Develop Python scripts, with a minimum of 5 years of recent experience actively working on Python development in the current role.

- Build automation workflows to enhance operational efficiency and product features.

- Utilize tools like Ansible (Terraform experience is a plus).

C) Advanced Troubleshooting and Reporting :

- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in cloud systems and applications.

- Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and implement preventive/corrective measures.

- Perform SQL database performance analysis and tuning.

D) Application Transformation :

- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes.

- Perform scalability testing and application regression validation.

- Utilize visualization tools like Grafana, Kibana, and Postgres for real-time system monitoring.

E) Operational Support and Practices :

- Respond to incidents promptly and support operational processes for cloud applications and databases.

- Use JIRA and Confluence for task management and documentation.

- Familiarity with smart metering systems is an added advantage.

Candidate Profile :

Mandatory :

- Linux: At least 5 years of hands-on Linux server management experience in the current role.

- Python: At least 5 years of hands-on Python scripting experience in the current role.

- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and automation tools like Ansible.

- Solid understanding of networking (IPv4/IPv6), cloud systems, and database optimization.

Preferred :

- Experience with tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Grafana, and Kibana.

- Familiarity with smart metering systems.

- Certifications in Linux, Python, or cloud technologies are a plus.
