About the Role :

Talent Nexa Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer (Backend) to join a leading SaaS product company based in Delhi, with the flexibility to work remotely. This is a key leadership role where you will be instrumental in designing, building, deploying, and scaling the core platform and services that power the company's products. As a Lead Engineer, you'll tackle not only technical challenges but also business problems, using cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and success in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design & Development : Lead the end-to-end design, development, deployment, and scaling of backend systems that are central to the company's products.

- Problem Solving : Address critical, complex, and challenging problems by developing highly scalable, available, and reliable applications that enhance user experience.

- Technology Adaptation : Research and adapt to emerging technologies and methodologies to meet the evolving needs of the product.

- Microservices Transition : Guide the transition from monolithic architectures to microservices, ensuring robust and efficient system designs.

- Code Quality & Review : Maintain high standards of code quality through strong code review and debugging practices.

- Database Management : Utilize solid database skills in both SQL and NoSQL databases to optimize performance and scalability.

- DevOps Integration : Leverage DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Nagios/Icinga, Ansible, and HashiCorp Vault to streamline operations and ensure system reliability.

- Containerization : Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to enhance deployment efficiency.

- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Hands-on contribution to the codebase is essential.

Requirements

- 6-10 years of relevant experience.

- Good knowledge of at least two of these programming languages - PHP/java/python/golang/node.js.

- Strong OOPS and Design Fundamentals.

- Hands-on experience with GenAI tools.

- Experience with working on microservices and has seen multiple transitions from monolithic architecture to microservices.

- Experience in solving critical, complex and challenging problems by designing and developing highly scalable, available and reliable user-centric applications

- Strong code review skills.

- Strong debugging skills.

- Solid database skills in at least one SQL and one NoSQL Database.

- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Nagios/Icinga, Ansible, hashicorp vault.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.

- Prior experience in managing a team would be preferred.

- Being Hands-on is essential for this role.
