Testing Architect - Appium/Selenium (10-17 yrs)

Role Overview :

The TCoE Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the Test Center of Excellence (TCoE). This role involves defining the testing strategy, processes,
automation frameworks, and governance models to ensure high-quality software delivery.

The TCoE Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and quality assurance professionals to establish standardized, scalable, and efficient testing practices aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

1. TCoE Strategy & Implementation :

- Define and establish the TCoE framework, aligning with business objectives and technology strategy.

- Develop standardized testing processes, methodologies, and best practices to drive efficiency and quality.

- Oversee the selection and implementation of testing tools, automation frameworks, and performance monitoring solutions.

- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, DevOps enablement, and shift-left testing across development teams.

2. Test Governance & Quality Assurance :

- Define and implement governance models to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security policies.

- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure test effectiveness, automation ROI, defect density, and test coverage.

- Ensure alignment with risk management framework, incorporating risk-based testing strategies.

3. Test Automation & Tooling Strategy :

- Design and implement test automation frameworks for functional, performance, and security testing.

- Identify opportunities to optimize automation coverage and improve CI/CD integration for seamless testing workflows.

- Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge QA accelerators, AI-driven testing solutions, and cloud-based test environments.

4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Work with business leaders, product owners, and IT teams to ensure testing aligns with business goals and customer experience priorities.

- Mentor and upskill QA teams, ensuring they are proficient in modern testing techniques, automation tools, and agile testing practices.

- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to integrate TCoE processes within Agile and DevOps environments.

5. Performance & Non-Functional Testing :

- Develop and implement performance testing strategies to ensure application scalability and reliability.

- Oversee security and compliance testing to mitigate risks and adhere to regulatory standards.

- Conduct usability and accessibility testing for customer-facing applications.

Qualifications & Experience :

- 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architect role.

- Proven experience in setting up and scaling a TCoE in a financial or banking environment.

- Strong expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Tosca, Appium, JMeter, LoadRunner) and DevOps practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, test data management, and service virtualization.

- Knowledge of banking applications, payment systems, core banking platforms, and regulatory compliance requirements.

- Hands-on experience with AI/ML-driven testing, performance engineering, and security testing.

- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies with a strong understanding of shift-left testing.

- Familiarity with Power BI and data analytics for test reporting and decision-making.
