Table Space - Executive Director - Engineering & Sustainability (18-25 yrs)

Job Description:

Engineering Oversight:

- Manage and oversee all engineering functions within the facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

- Ensure that engineering operations are executed efficiently and meet safety and quality standards.

Maintenance Management:

- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for engineering systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Project Management:

- Lead engineering projects, including facility upgrades, renovations, and new installations.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Technical Support:

- Provide technical expertise and support to address engineering issues and challenges.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems to maintain operational efficiency.

Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to engineering and facility operations.

- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and maintain a safe working environment.

Budget Management:

- Develop and manage budgets for engineering operations and projects.

- Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Sustainability Strategy Development:

- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs to reduce the environmental impact of facilities.

- Align sustainability initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Energy Management:

- Oversee energy management programs to optimize energy consumption and reduce costs.

- Implement energy-efficient technologies and practices, such as LED lighting, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and renewable energy sources.

Waste Management:

- Develop and manage waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize environmental impact.

- Ensure compliance with waste disposal regulations and promote sustainable waste management practices.

Sustainable Building Practices:

- Promote and implement green building practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) within the facilities.

- Ensure that new construction and renovation projects meet sustainability standards and environmental criteria.

Sustainability Reporting:

- Monitor and report on sustainability performance, including energy consumption, waste generation, and environmental impact.

- Prepare and present sustainability reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Employee Engagement and Training:

- Promote sustainability awareness and practices among staff through training and engagement programs.

- Encourage employee participation in sustainability initiatives and green practices.

Innovation and Research:

- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in engineering and sustainability.
