Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning and Execution:
• Assist in planning and conducting internal audits in various departments.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance structures.
• Perform testing and documentation of financial, operational, and compliance processes.
• Risk Assessment:
• Participate in risk assessment exercises to identify high-risk areas.
• Conduct risk-based audits that evaluate and ensure key controls are in place and functioning.
• Audit Reporting:
• Draft audit findings and recommendations for process improvements.
• Prepare audit reports summarizing observations, risks, and action plans.
• Communicate audit results to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant laws/regulations.
• Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact the business.
• Provide guidance on regulatory issues and governance practices.
• Follow-Up Audits:
• Track the implementation of corrective actions resulting from previous audits.
• Conduct follow-up audits to verify that identified risks and control issues are being addressed.
• Process Improvements:
• Identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for internal audit processes.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with department heads, senior management, and external auditors as needed.
• Support cross-functional teams in addressing audit findings and improving control measures.
