Senior Associate

The purpose of the job role is to assist in the management of the organizations indirect tax compliance and advisory activities. The role involves providing guidance and advice to clients on best practices for managing their GST obligations. This includes working directly with clients to assess their indirect tax obligations and to develop strategies for optimizing their indirect tax outcomes.

Work Responsibility:

• Independently manage a wide range of GST related assignments including retainership, compliances, tax reviews, GST audit, departmental audits and scrutiny, etc.
• Foster client engagement by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues within agreed timelines, and working closely with our support team to ensure that client needs are met.
• Ensuring the timely execution of deliverables, both technical and non-technical.
• Ability to handle multiple clients and support them in there day-to-day queries of GST;
• Handle the notices and enquiry letters such as DRC-01, ASMT-10 etc. from drafting the replies to representation before the authorities;
• Ability to handle the liasioning work between client and consultants of various matters.
• 1, 3B, Book keeping, GST refund, monthly Com. Annual Com., books & GL reconciliation.

Technical:

• Excellent in Excel and having working knowledge in handing ERP to effectively manage and analyze client data.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of indirect taxes, including GST, Service Tax, and Value Added Tax (VAT).
• Prior experience in handling GST related assignments such as GST audit, tax reviews, and compliances, etc.
• Expertise in indirect taxation that includes compliance, advisory, and departmental representation/litigation.
• Adaptable and quick learner who can thrive in a dynamic work environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.
