Job Description:
Position: Special Educator, All Grades, Kalyan Campus
Seize the Opportunity: Join The Green Acres Academy as a Special Educator! The Green Acres Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educator to join our dynamic team. We are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students and are looking for an individual who shares our vision.
Responsibilities: Conduct school-wide screening assessments in literacy, assess student skills and develop intervention plans at the school, class and individual student level. Collaborate with teachers to differentiate classroom lessons, CFUs, etc. to meet the needs of students and push-in to provide support, as needed. Create goals for Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) for each student (related to academics). Design child-specific academic intervention plans in collaboration with relevant team members. Implement IEPs and support plans, assess students performance, and track their progress. Update IEPs and support plans throughout the school year to reflect students progress and goals. Proactively communicate with parents/family, and respond to their queries promptly. Discuss students progress with parents, teachers, counsellors, and administrators. Meeting with parents/family as and when needed to support with behaviours at home that will affect their academics. Supervise and mentor shadow teachers who work with students. Fulfill all PD requirements, including workshops, book clubs, online courses, etc. Attend all PLCs spaces i.e. collaborative meetings within department or school as required. Maintain and update all the documentation related to students throughout the school year. Plan and execute support for students with exams (reader/writer roles), picnic, sports day, annual day and other events. Conduct in school (in person) and after school online interventions as per their role. Collaborate with outside professionals to support student needs, as relevant. Support with the admissions process for students who might require additional support, as relevant.
Qualifications: Mandatory Qualification: Diploma (Sp.Ed.) OR a B.Ed. (Sp.Ed.) OR a B.Ed.
