Engineer 2, Software - Java Developer

Summary

The Software Engineer 2 participate in medium level complex aspects of the software development lifecycle, which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of the application. As an individual contributor working in a team environment, you will work with business teams on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements, and subsequently into technical design.

Key Skill and Experience

Java development role with 5 to 7 years of overall experience. Primary skills - Java Swing, SQL, Web API designing, NoSQL DB/DB2 Spring/Springboot. Cloud - AWS or GCP (Good to have). OS - Linux/Tomcat. Strong Java developers with readiness to transition and learn Swing can also be considered

• Assist in the design the complete solution of modules within a software ecosystem.
• Help develop and deploy efficient content models, security models, workflows, and templates. Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
• Responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, and delivery of less complex IT architecture solutions that are appropriate for the business and IT strategies in one or more domains.
• Provide integrated systems analysis and recommends appropriate hardware, software, and communication links required to support IT goals and strategy. Manage the effort to support, resolve and document issues that arise in the architecture.
• Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM.
• Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes (analyze and fix bugs) and workaround, review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
• Define, implement, and maintain technology security infrastructure, policies, processes, and procedures to proactively protect, monitor, investigate and resolve threats to a secure user environment and company assets.
• Responsible for being aware of IT industry trends, and enterprise standards and methodology and being able to react to issues that arise.
