ValueFirst Digital Media - System Engineer - Database Administration (5-6 yrs)

As Database Administrator you would require to understand MySQL Architecture, Installing and upgradation, replication Clustering and security of MySQL.

Key Responsibilities :

- Using INFORMATION_SCHEMA database for accessing metadata.

- Performing start and end operations of MySQL.

- Evaluating character sets and data types for performance-related concerns.

- Using triggers for management tasks.

- Understanding views, Performance Tuning, Large environment database optimization, Performing backup and recovery activities.

- Understanding data locking concepts in MySQL.

- Describing tuning techniques related to introductory performance.

- Advanced MySQL setup.

- Troubleshooting of production issue.

- Deployment, Tracking, Maintenance and Optimization of VF-services QOS, Backups and Uptimes

- Work on tickets and provide resolution with SLA.

- Manage timelines, product releases, and track bugs with engineering team.

- Interaction with client in some case for online testing to debug issue.

- Monitor and troubleshoot issues of Linux, MySQL, WildFly/Jboss/Tomcat related issues.

- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems, Services and infrastructure availability.

- Overseeing the preparation of environments for the testing/UAT of software releases, participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of said releases.

- Conduct sessions on new releases and KT with internal teams.

- Daily tracking of work.

- Creating FAQ's and Service Documents for documentation purpose.

Primary Skills Required :

- MySQL 5.6 or higher Certified Database Administrator, RHCE (Linux ES 7, Centos 7),.

- Installation, configuration & upgradation of MySQL Linux and Wildfly/Jboss.

- Advanced MySQL setup, replication, clustering, optimization, troubleshooting & security.

- Bash, PHP, groovy, ansible, Python Scripting.

- Troubleshooting on Linux, MySQL and Wildfly issues.

- Mongo, MS SQL Server working knowledge.

- Ready to work in Shifts.

- Availability 24x7, if required.
