Test Automation Lead(Immediate joiners, Playwright, ISTQB, JavaScript)

Must have**

1. ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced level).
2. Proven experience in manual and automated testing, with expertise in using Playwright for automation.
3. Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript for writing and maintaining test scripts.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand test requirements and deliver high-quality automated tests.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and document defects in the test management system.
• Identify areas for test automation and help improve test coverage across different layers of the application (UI, API, database).
• Integrate automated tests with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to ensure seamless testing in every build.
• Develop and maintain testing frameworks and libraries to streamline automation efforts.
• Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with the development team to resolve defects.
• Write clear and concise test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely delivery of test cases and automation scripts.
• Keep up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices to continuously improve test automation processes.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or TestComplete.
• Strong experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for writing test scripts.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to integrate test automation in the pipeline.
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Quality Center.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Hands-on experience with database testing and writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Understanding of performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner (optional but preferred).
• Experience with mobile automation testing using Appium or other mobile testing frameworks (optional but preferred).
