Position Overview


Position: Dean Management.


Location: SSPU, Kiwale, Pune.


Experience:

  • Must have at least 8-10 yrs. post PhD teaching experience and minimum. 5 years academic administration experience as Vice/ Principal/ HOD/ Dean/ Director level. 2-3 years of industry experience is must.
  • Substantial academic and research experience, with a distinguished record of scholarly publications, research grants and contributions to the field.


Education: Professor with Ph.D. in Management.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Vision:
  • Provide strategic leadership for the business/management school in alignment with the overall goals of the institution.
  • Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the future of the school, emphasizing academic excellence, innovation, and community impact.
  • Lead efforts to build a diverse and inclusive academic environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Academic Oversight:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs.
  • Ensure that the curriculum reflects industry trends, academic rigor, and the evolving needs of students and employers.
  • Foster an environment of academic excellence, promoting faculty research, teaching, and professional development.
  • Faculty Leadership:
  • Recruit, retain, and support high-quality faculty members.
  • Promote faculty development, including opportunities for research, teaching, and professional growth.
  • Ensure faculty members are supported in their teaching, research, and service responsibilities.
  • Manage faculty performance, providing constructive feedback and fostering collaboration.
  • Resource Management:
  • Oversee the financial and operational management of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and fundraising efforts.
  • Work with the universitys administration to secure funding and develop strategic partnerships.
  • Manage resources effectively to support academic programs, faculty development, and student services.
  • Student Engagement:
  • Ensure that students have a high-quality educational experience and are supported in their academic, personal, and professional growth.
  • Support career development programs, internships, and alumni engagement to help students succeed in the job market.
  • Promote student leadership opportunities, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
  • External Relations:
  • Represent the school in various academic, business, and professional forums.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including business leaders, alumni, donors, and policymakers.
  • Advocate for the school and build its reputation regionally, nationally, and globally.
  • Research and Innovation:
  • Foster an environment conducive to high-quality research, ensuring that faculty engage in innovative and impactful research in the field of management.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary research that contributes to the broader academic and business communities.
  • Accreditation and Compliance:
  • Ensure the school meets and exceeds relevant accreditation standards (e.g., NAAC,NBA).
  • Oversee the preparation of accreditation reports and the implementation of necessary improvements.
  • Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead the development and execution of the schools strategic plan.
  • Assess and monitor the schools performance in key areas, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
