Plant Operation & Project Operation

Job Summary: The Plant Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to safety and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, and optimizing plant performance to support project timelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ownership to ensure timelines are met.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for the planning and execution of projects.
• Proactively work to remove project obstacles, identify, and manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities.
• Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope/schedule/quality risks, project status, resource allocation and customer impact
• Assures customer delivery and quality is not impacted by project execution.
• Responsible for the development, planning and execution against KPIs (safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and morale), as well as Takt production plan, and annual cost center budget.
• Manage use of SAP tools for productivity results and analysis.
• Manage schedule execution for daily and weekly production schedules.
• Develop team and execute daily management and problem-solving activities.
• Drive safety initiatives and strategy for area of responsibility and implement improvement plans. Ensure ongoing operator safety and a safe work environment by promptly addressing safety hazards, minimizing workplace accidents, and proactively involving associates in the continuous improvement of safety.
• Planning function to meet production and demand plans.
• Ensure equipment preventative maintenance. Minimum Requirements:
• Strong leadership, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Prior manufacturing management experience
• Experience developing equipment and manning capacity models
• Strong systemic-thinking and advanced problem-solving skills
• Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.
• Production or materials planning experience.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience directly managing projects.
• 3+ years experience in a Manufacturing Operations, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean, 5S, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Value Stream and Process Mapping.
• Competent in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Zoom and Teams
