Job Description

About the Team

Part of pricing & underwriting services team with around 80+ members between Actuarial and Underwriting teams located in Bangalore. This role will be supporting Australia and New Zealand market (ANZ) for reinsurance pricing - actuarial and experience studies.

Objective of Role

To support the ANZ Pricing & ES team, by providing technical expertise in respect of product pricing, experience studies and other initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Support the pricing actuaries in pricing of tenders for new funds in Group ANZ Market
Support the pricing reviews of existing clients.
Support ES requirements for the region.
Provide support in periodical updates of Terms of Trade for Group Life and IP business.
Support the ANZ pricing actuaries in any local/regional projects or ad-hoc tasks as required.
Work effectively with a cross-functional team of experts from valuation, client markets, underwriting, and claims towards assessing the risk associated with any tender or ES, if required.
Work towards Pricing and ES model developments.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of pricing, experience studies and product development and fundamental knowledge of the products and services offered by insurers/reinsurers.
Ability to apply actuarial judgement in a commercial environment.
Good understanding of actuarial standard methodologies.
Knowledge of actuarial L&H modelling and data analytical softwares: SAS and R
Organization, prioritization and planning skills.
Knowledge of L&H actuarial modelling and data analytical softwares.

Candidate Requirements

Strong actuarial experience in insurance/reinsurance sector, ideally 2+ years of experience preferably pricing or ES.
Experience in actuarial product design, pricing & ES, including use of any actuarial pricing tools will be an advantage.
Good actuarial exam progress for actuarial institutes
Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
