Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and motivated SCEM Support Engineer to join our IT team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our System Center Environment and Monitoring (SCEM) infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and timely resolution of issues.
This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft System Center products and related technologies, along with experience in server administration and networking.
Responsibilities :
1. SCEM Expertise :
- Provide comprehensive support for System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2016 and later versions, including troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization.(Experience with similar monitoring products is a plus).
- Manage System Center Service Manager (SCSM) 2016 and later versions, handling service requests, incident management, and change control processes.(Experience with similar ticketing products is a plus).
- Utilize System Center Orchestrator (SCOM) 2016 and later versions to automate routine tasks and workflows.(Experience with similar automation tools is a plus).
- Manage System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2016 and later versions for virtual machine provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.(Experience with similar virtual machine management tools is a plus).
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Management Pack technology, overrides, rules, and monitor creation for effective system monitoring.
2. Database Administration :
- Experience with SQL Server administration and configuration, including basic knowledge of T-SQL syntax, WMI functionality, and query writing.
3. Server Administration and Networking :
- Possess strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems for server management and troubleshooting.
- Understand Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP protocols, and core networking concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus.
Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of System Center products, including SCOM, SCSM, Orchestrator, and Virtual Machine Manager (experience with prior versions acceptable).
- Experience with SQL Server administration and basic T-SQL scripting.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification or similar methodology experience is a plus
