We are looking for an experienced professional who iskeen on taking a leadership role in skilling. The professional will be expectedto further Swanitivision on understanding the gaps and opportunities onskilling and then work with state governments on operationalizing them.Specifically, the lead will be expected to work with the senior management tostrengthen the framing of skilling for the organization. The current areas ofskilling include solar, hydro, geothermal, wind and domestic waste management.
Given the technical requirements of the space,following qualities would be favorably looked upon for the candidate
Thecandidate must have demonstrated experience in skilling sector. This caninclude conducting skill assessments, working with skilling departments,managing skilling programs for other multilateral, CSOs and other largeinstitutions.
Pastexperiences of working on sustainability and climate would be very favourablylooked upon, including any established work on issues around energy transition.
Demonstratedexperience of working with state/central government would be advantageous. Alternatively,deep understanding about government/administration would be required forposition.
Strongwriting and communication skills would be critical for leadership role.
Roles Responsibilities
Swanitihas been working to identify economic opportunities for last mile communitiesduring energy transition. And thus, skilling has been key to our work. We arelooking for Program lead who can support in--
a.) Ground level analysis throughprimary data and research
b.) Assistance to state governments on policyplanning and program identification and
c.) Requisite monitoring and programimplementation support on ground.
Therefore, the Associate will be working aspart of a larger team to be able to
Develop high-quality research documents, along withneed assessment, situation analysis, data analysis, brainstorming with relevantstakeholders.
Coordinate,manage, and draft comprehensive research paper on community readiness for skilling.
Takeinnovative and research driven perspective on framing recommendations andpolicy insights for subnational stakeholders.
Workwith the state administration to operationalize the feedback that is being collectedwithin communities.
Liasewith state administration on key requests/asks as appropriate.
Organizeand execute events, seminars, and roundtable discussions etc. that are neededfor the skilling process.
Provideany additional support to build out capabilities around skilling.
Workwith organizational leadership to strengthen the skilling vertical.
Requirements
Qualifications
Candidatesmust have at least 7 years of experience of working in skilling, climate andsustainability of work force preparedness.
Establishedexperiences of managing teams and delivering on technical assistance programwill be strongly valued.
Priorexperience of working with government, multilaterals of recognized CSOs will beparticularly valuable
Post-graduate degree in any field with a preferencefor those possessing a degree in environment, climate and sustainability,energy, skilling related field etc. is strongly preferred.
