Key Responsibilities:
- The GM - Corporate Communications will lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the organization's brand, reputation, and engagement with stakeholders.
- This role requires an experienced leader who excels in public relations, internal communications, and brand storytelling, ensuring a consistent voice across all channels.
Strategic Communication Planning:
- Develop and implement a robust corporate communication strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Craft and deliver messaging that reflects the company's vision, mission, and values.
Public Relations and Media Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key influencers.
- Drive press releases, media events, and proactive outreach to secure positive coverage.
- Manage responses to media inquiries and oversee crisis communication efforts.
Internal Communications:
- Oversee internal communication initiatives to foster employee engagement and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop content for town halls, newsletters, and executive communications.
Brand and Thought Leadership:
- Establish the company as a thought leader through strategic content creation, executive positioning, and public speaking opportunities.
- Oversee the development of corporate collateral, including presentations, annual reports, and marketing materials.
Digital and Social Media:
- Lead the organization's presence on digital platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
- Monitor trends and analytics to optimize content and outreach strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop communication strategies for key stakeholders, including investors, government bodies, and industry partners.
- Support CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives and communicate their impact effectively.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Budget Management: Manage the corporate communication budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale communication campaigns and crisis communication.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in communication tools and platforms (e., MS Office, CMS, and social media analytics).
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and stakeholder mapping techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving capabilities
