Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented research analyst to support client reporting, trading operations, and research initiatives. This hybrid role combines technical skills in data handling, trade record maintenance, and client report generation while also demanding strong finance fundamentals. Ideal candidates will have excellent math, record-keeping, and data skills and a basic understanding of Python for analytical support.

Key Responsibilities

Quantitative Modeling and Strategy Development

Develop, design, and execute quantitative and analytical models to identify potential investment opportunities.

Create and implement strategies using statistical and quantitative methods, including back testing to ensure robustness across different market regimes.

Generate statistical reports on strategy performance and market insights for internal review and client presentations.

Data Collection and Analysis

Collect, clean, store, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, using web scraping and other data extraction techniques.

Derive meaningful insights from structured and unstructured data to support quantitative strategy development.

Utilize strong data management skills for accurate analysis and reporting.

Market Risk Assessment

Conduct ongoing assessments of market risks and provide insights to enhance portfolio resilience.

Evaluate risk factors impacting investment strategies and provide timely recommendations to senior management.

Client Reporting & Communication

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for clients, providing a clear overview of portfolio performance and relevant market insights.

Create professional PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, detailing portfolio metrics, performance, and strategic initiatives.

Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, handling inquiries and updates in a timely, professional manner.

Trade Record Maintenance

Maintain and update trade records, tracking all transactions, allocations, and P&L statements.

Calculate and analyze trade data to support portfolio valuation and performance reviews.

Perform regular data checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy across systems and records.

Technical & Analytical Support

Use Excel for data manipulation, reporting automation, and analysis.

Leverage basic Python skills to support data processing, report automation, and analytical tasks.

Assist in automated routine reporting processes to improve efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure that all reporting and data management practices comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Maintain accurate documentation for trade execution, strategy updates, and client communication for compliance and operational reference.

Document processes, methodologies, and analyses to support transparency and consistency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.

Basic knowledge of Python for analytical support and report automation.

• Analytical Abilities: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Financial Knowledge: Understanding of finance fundamentals, markets, and trading principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective client interaction.
• Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
