Quant Analyst Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quant Development Intern to join our team at Qode. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to our data management and automation initiatives while gaining valuable experience in the financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Database Development & Maintenance

• Structure a comprehensive database system to store fundamental and stock price data for all companies.
• Scrape and gather data from various platforms, clean it, and ensure seamless storage.
• Update derivatives data regularly and convert it into the desired format.

2. Automation of Trade Operations

• Design and implement automation processes for trade execution and allocation files.
• Support trade operations by creating automation tools to streamline workflows.

3. Dashboard Creation

• Develop a backtesting dashboard for the research team under their guidance.
• Collaborate with the research team to ensure dashboards meet analytical and usability requirements.
• Build front-end components for dashboards and websites (knowledge of front-end development is a plus).

Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Candidates from other disciplines with strong technical skills are also encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
• Basic knowledge of databases and data management techniques.
• Familiarity with web scraping tools and techniques.
• Strong understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing methodologies.
• Exposure to automation tools or frameworks is an advantage.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
