Finance Head

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Head to lead our finance function. The role involves financial planning, revenue reconciliation, fund management, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing financial operations in a fast-growing, multi-location business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Revenue Reconciliation

• Oversee end-to-end financial operations, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue generated from players, subscribers, and business partners.
• Reconcile invoices raised on Zoho, transactions recorded on the billing software, and payments collected via payment gateways like Razorpay, UPI, and offline sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate tracking of revenue collections, outstanding dues, and cash flows.
• Optimize revenue recognition processes to align with industry best practices.

Fundraising & Stakeholder Management

• Assist in fundraising activities, including preparing financial reports, valuations, and investor presentations.
• Collaborate with investors, auditors, and legal teams during fundraising rounds.
• Support the leadership team in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation exercises for potential investments.
• Ensure all financial data is audit-ready and compliant with investor requirements.

Accounting & Audit Coordination

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team, ensuring smooth execution of all financial processes.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure timely statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings.
• Liaise with tax consultants and regulatory authorities to handle assessments, notices, and legal matters.
• Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines in case of fundraising from foreign investors.

Management Information System (MIS) & Financial Reporting

• Develop and maintain a monthly MIS dashboard on Zoho for tracking key financial metrics.
• Generate reports on profitability, cash flow, revenue growth, and cost management.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the management for business decision-making.
• Establish and improve financial controls to enhance transparency and operational efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Zoho Books, payment gateways (Razorpay, PayU, etc.), and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and fundraising procedures.
• Experience in handling compliances, audits, and investor relations.
• Ability to manage multiple revenue streams, subscriptions, and digital transactions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a finance team.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and cost optimization.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-4 years of experience.
• Experience in a tech-enabled, subscription-based, or sports/recreation industry is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in Zoho Books, Razorpay, and financial reconciliations.
