The project team is responsible for building the tools that unlock that data across the platform. They build orchestration, scheduling, and ETL generation tools to enable cloud migrations and support petabyte-scale operations.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a professional engineer.
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
A strong history of development with Java or a JVM-based language.
Proven record of successful software development.
Upper-intermediate-level of English
Nice to have
Knowledge of the modern AWS Data Ecosystem, including AWS Glue, AWS Athena, AWS EKS, AWS S3, and AWS Lambda.
Understanding developing ETL processes and streaming data pipelines, including defining SLAs and performance monitoring.
Knowledge of Kotlin.
Knowledge of Spring Boot.
Experience with frontend technologies (React, GraphQL, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills, intense curiosity, and enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
Familiarity with big data modeling and tools (Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Presto, etc.).
Responsibilities
Help design, build, and operate the data services infrastructure at the core of the data-driven culture.
Take responsibility for the quality of the code produced.
Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering, from design to implementation, QA, and maintenance.
Operate across the evolving technology stack, including Java, Kotlin, React, SQL, Spark, Snowflake, and more.
Implement new features in a powerful and widely used ETL orchestration tool.
Investigate and use cloud technologies to deploy the software.
Integrate with production Data Sources and our petabyte-scale data lake.
Operate across the evolving technology stack we re developing in Java, React, SQL, and more.
Collaborate closely with product, data engineering, machine learning, analytics, and other functional teams to define feature specifications and develop high-quality customer deliverables.
Work with technical leadership to make strategic technology decisions.
Work alongside other engineering groups worldwide (US, Lisbon, UK, India).
