Job Purpose:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of a market leading manufacturing organization with a diverse product portfolio spanning car accessories, plastic parts, and FMCG products such as fragrances and perfumes. The CFO will oversee financial planning, ensure regulatory compliance, manage capital and investment strategies, and contribute to business growth across OEM and aftermarket segments. A strong understanding of shares and corporate finance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals for both OEM and aftermarket markets.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, providing insights to drive profitability and growth.
- Lead long-term financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Financial Operations and Compliance:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Capital Management and Investment:
- Manage capital allocation and funding strategies to support business expansion and innovation.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations for maximizing returns.
- Oversee share-related activities, including equity management, valuations, and shareholder reporting.
Cost Optimization and Profitability:
- Drive cost control initiatives across manufacturing operations and supply chains.
- Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability across product lines and markets.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness and profitability.
Business Analytics and Decision Support:
- Leverage financial data and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and report key financial metrics and performance indicators to the executive team and board of directors.
- Provide financial insights to support product diversification, market expansion, and M&A activities.
Share Management and Corporate Finance:
- Manage share-related activities, including equity structuring, shareholder relations, and compliance.
- Oversee corporate finance activities, including debt management and financial restructuring as needed.
- Build relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team with expertise in manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for the finance team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, marketing, and supply chain, to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Represent the organization in discussions with auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with shareholders and investors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 20+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing with exposure to OEM and aftermarket markets.
- Strong expertise in corporate finance, shares, and equity management.
- Proven track record in financial planning, cost optimization, and capital management.
- Experience managing financial operations for diverse product portfolios, including FMCG.
