Power Electronics Converter Specialist (SEL Hadapsar, Pune)

Role & responsibilities:

• Electric DFIG Converter system S111 and below , power cable -new product development
• DFIG system software support S111 and below
• Design change & Value Engineering Project
• DFIG system component approvals
• Implement international standards in design
• Evaluate new market TET requirement
• Technical support for enquiries
• Prepare & Lead Design Project plan

Prior Exposure:

1. Experience and exposures in the field of power converter - electrical design , development , installation , commissioning etc.

2. Design / R&D / Manufacturing engineering experience with DFIG system and components for wind turbine application.

3. Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools like MATLAB, Simulink.

4. Knowledge of of DFIG control strategies and power electronics.

5. Conduct testing and validation of DFIG system , analyze test data and make necessary improvementy.

6. Hands on experience using state of art engineering design tools and softwares for power converter with very good understanding of application for electric motors/generators.

7. Knowledgeable about variable speed drives , LV switch gear , relays , encoders , resolver, protection equipment , etc. and well conversant with IEC / UL / OSHA standards requirement for electrical components and cabinet design.

8. Knowledge and experience in application of fundamentals of power electronics for power generation and energy conversion . This knowledge includes both analytical and experimental applications.

9. Experience in design -development in wind turbine application would be preferred.

10. Analytical and systematic approach combined with high self-motivation. Work efficiently without direct supervision, consistently demonstrating high levels of performance. Ability to work in fast paced environment on multiple designs and work cooperatively in multi-cultural international workforce.
