Reading blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines and understand product design

Using computer software to create programs for the CNC machine

Choosing workholding devices, calibrating machine parameters, and performing set-up and calibration procedures

Performing routine machine maintenance and cleaning

Maintaining records and documentation for machine specifications and programming notes
