Responsibilities:
1. Design & Development:
• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for laser-cut components using CAD software
(AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Design parts and assemblies according to project specifications and customer
requirements.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability and efficiency criteria for laser-cutting
technology.

2. Cost Estimation:
• Analyse design requirements to estimate material, labour, and production costs.
• Prepare quotations and cost breakdowns for client proposals.
• Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to optimize cost estimation based on
current material prices and manufacturing capabilities.

3. Technical Documentation:
• Maintain detailed project records and update design documentation as needed.
4. Project Coordination:
• Liaise with production, quality control, and project management teams to ensure
designs meet production capabilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies to ensure that designs align with project budgets and
timelines.
5. Quality Assurance:
• Perform quality checks on completed designs to ensure they meet both company and
industry standards.
• Ensure final designs are optimized for minimal waste and maximum material
efficiency.
Required Skills:
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks.) .
• Analytical & Mathematical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to calculate material needs,
estimate costs, and ensure design efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a
related field.
• Experience: 3-8 years of experience in design and estimation, preferably in the laser
cutting or sheet metal fabrication industry.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with laser-cutting technology, materials, and
manufacturing processes.
