Job Description
We are looking for a Senior System Engineer to lead our IT team. You will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our systems infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. In addition to providing advanced technical support, you will mentor junior engineers, develop automation scripts, and drive improvements in system monitoring, resource utilization, and overall efficiency for our international web hosting clients.
Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships across teams and with staff/clients.
- Works closely with the management team to ensure all the technical issues are resolved on time.
- Managing and upholding the troubleshooting escalation process.
- Single poc for any technical escalations.
- Helping HR to impart technical training.
What we look for in the candidates?
- Passionate in Linux
- 4+ Years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer.
- Excellent team management skills
- Ability to provide technical leadership
- Strong ownership, and persistent attitude to complete tasks
- Strong written communication skills in the English language.
- Ready for a long-term commitment with the company
- Good understanding of netfilter/iptables.
- Good knowledge in Web Servers, NFS, DNS, NIS, MTAs.
- Experience in cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure.
- Profound Experience in Apache, Litespeed, CentOS, Nagios, Cacti, DNS, hosted services, MySQL, R1soft, Wordpress, cPanel, SpamExperts.
- Good knowledge in Automation systems like Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
- Prefer some programming experience (particularly Bash, Shell, Perl, Python, PHP, HTML, MySQL).
- Good knowledge on shell scripting and relational databases
- Hands on experience with control panels like cPanel, Plesk, Direct Admin etc.
