3D Artist

We are looking for talented people for various roles as 3D Modeling Artist (Hard surfaces and Organic shapes), 3D Texture Artist, 3D Lighting and Render Artist and 3D Animators to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating high-quality 3D models, textures, and assets for use in video games, films, or other interactive media. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3D art principles, including topology, UV mapping, texturing techniques, and shading. You will collaborate closely with designers, animators, and developers to bring assets to life in visually compelling and technically sound ways.

NOTE: We have most client work in USA timezones so ideal candidates must be open to work in timezones ranging from EST/EDT - PST/PDT.

Responsibilities:

• Create realistic, stylized, or highly detailed 3D models of characters, environments, props, and other assets according to project requirements.
• Textures, materials, and shaders to 3D models to ensure they look polished and aligned with the visual style of the project.
• Efficiently unwrap UVs for 3D models to ensure clean texture mapping with minimal stretching and optimal space usage.
• Optimize 3D models for performance without compromising visual quality, particularly for real-time applications such as games or virtual reality.
• Work closely with the art director, lead artist, and other team members to ensure assets meet aesthetic and technical specifications.
• Revise and improve models and textures based on feedback from the team to ensure assets integrate seamlessly into the final product.
• Organize and maintain 3D asset files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-documented.
• Setup lights and assemble 3D scenes for final rendering.
• Render still images and animation sequences as per project requirements.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 14 years of professional animation experience.
• A strong artistic portfolio showcasing relevant work samples. Please note that any applications without a portfolio/showreel will be rejected.
• Proficiency in Blender and familiarity with other 3D design applications.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is preferred.

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Familiarity with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity, and the ability to integrate assets into these environments.
• Experience with high-poly sculpting using tools like ZBrush or Mudbox for creating intricate detailed models.
• Working knowledge of the post processing pipeline.
• Basic understanding of animation principles and how 3D models interact within animated scenes or game environments.
• Prior experience working in a collaborative team environment, especially in cross-disciplinary teams involving artists, designers, and developers.
