Pricing & Customer Service Manager

Job Summary:

The Pricing & Customer Service Manager is responsible for developing and managing pricing strategies for Import & Export Shipments while supervising operations to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong analytical skills, operational oversight, and close collaboration with various teams to optimize pricing and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy Development:

- Analyse customer requirements, including cargo volume, weight, destination, and delivery timelines, to calculate associated costs such as transportation charges, customs clearance, agency fees, duties, insurance, and any additional services required.

- Evaluate market trends, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures to establish competitive and profitable pricing models.

- Negotiate freight costs for sea and air shipments with shipping lines and forwarders.

- Manage pricing activities related to export/import operations for ocean and air freight.

Operations Supervision:

- Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and handling, ensuring alignment with pricing strategies.

- Collaborate with the operations team to resolve issues impacting project delivery, cost, or client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, or financial analysis within the logistics or supply chain industry, preferably in project logistics or freight forwarding.

- Strong understanding of project logistics, including heavy lift, oversized cargo, and multimodal transport.

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic pricing decisions.

- Proficiency in pricing software, Excel, and other analytical tools.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in international project logistics or a similar field.

- Knowledge of market dynamics in the logistics industry, including competitor analysis and market trends.

- Professional certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or pricing analysis.
