Automation Test Engineer

Location: Pune

Mode of Work: Full-time, On-site

Who You Are:

Experienced QA professional with highly motivated and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in Manual Testing, Playwright and Karate Framework. Analytical, collaborative, and skilled in mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have over 5+ years of experience in software testing, combining manual and automation expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing:

• Conduct thorough manual testing of applications to identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Document test results and create detailed bug reports for the development team.

2. Automation Testing with Playwright:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using the Playwright framework.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance test efficiency.

3. API Testing with Karate Framework:

• Design and execute API test cases using the Karate framework.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage of RESTful APIs, including validations for performance, functionality, and security.
• Generate reports and provide insights based on API testing results.

4. Collaboration & Reporting:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address quality-related challenges.
• Provide timely updates on testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Contribute to team meetings, retrospectives, and planning sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Manual Testing Expertise: Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Playwright Framework: Hands-on experience in building and running automation test scripts using Playwright.
• Karate Framework: In-depth knowledge of API automation testing using Karate.
• Test Planning and Execution: Ability to create detailed test plans, test cases, and execution reports.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
