JOB BRIEF

This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks and assisting in the Product engineering. FEA / STATIC STRESS ANALYSIS of various spacecraft mechanisms like Weldment Structures frame under load conditions. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will also work in cooperation with the sales and marketing managers, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading/performing structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies while working as a part of integrated team.
• Structural Analysis includes calculation of loads, static analysis, and fatigue analysis.
• Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components using Finite Element Analysis.
• Generate documentation to report the analysis results.
• Able to take ownership and handle the project with minimum dependency.
• Ensure the analysis tasks are completed within the stipulated time and high quality.
• Be a team player with an ability to communicate with cross functional teams and exhibit the go-getter type of attitude.
• Update engineering manager with regular reporting of progress and status.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Bachelors or Master degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in structural analysis of Metallic aircraft components and assemblies.
• Experience with calculation of Loads, Static & Fatigue analysis.
• Must have experience in Finite Elements Analysis Tool Nastran/Ansys.
• Hands on experience in design software (Autodesk Inventor).
• Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as Material properties, Free Body Diagrams, Loads & Analysis methods.
• Strong Academic background with knowledge of Aerospace Domain.
• Good understanding of Strength of Material, Engineering Drawing and Manufacturing Process.
