Technical Lead Mechanical

Job Description:

• Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years. Exposure to Plant Design Engineering
• Preferred experience with Steel Structures or Process Piping.
• Exposure in Technical estimation and providing technical solution to customer.
• Good knowledge of understanding Structures, Piping, Equipment's, Electrical .
• Worked in Services companies serving multiple industries and product categories.

Roles & Responsibilities:

PRIMARY:

• Good Knowledge in Process Piping or Steel Structures.
• Good knowledge in Modelling and Detail engineering.
• CAD modelling and drawing using tools like Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, Revit, Tekla, Advance Steel & other plant design platforms.
• Communication with customers (with guidance of technical leaders) to resolve technical issues.
• Participate on Proposal Development teams.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
• Capable of handling US customers on calls during presales/project management meetings
• Good Knowledge in US codes and standards.
• Ability to train and manage a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for documenting the design information in terms of drawings, parts, material specifications, bills of materials, etc.
• Applies basic engineering design principles on each project activity.
• Capable or understanding of handling projects.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented individual who is self-motivated
• Perform the role of support to Concept Design Engineer, if required
• Participate in both internal and external design reviews.
• Continuously improve the efficiency of the Plant Engineering Department
• Ensure overall product design & implementation of CAD based on Customer requirements with regards to result of simulation, test & validation, etc.
• Conduct self and teams internal quality checks to ensure defect free deliverables.
• Assisting Business development team on proposal & estimation

Software:

• Autodesk Revit, Tekla, Advance Steel, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, ANSYS.
