Account Assistant

Job Overview:

We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Bookkeeper with strong typewriting skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. The role also involves typing various accounting documents and reports efficiently. The ideal candidate should possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and be proficient in typing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software or manual ledgers
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documentation
• Reconcile bank statements and assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and track outstanding payments
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries as needed
• Assist in preparing payroll and ensure compliance with tax filings
• Type accounting documents, reports, and correspondence with a high level of speed and accuracy
• Ensure that all financial records and reports are filed and stored correctly, both manually and electronically
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and tax regulations
• Respond to financial inquiries and provide administrative support to the finance team

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
• High proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Tally, or others)
• Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum typing speed of 40-50 words per minute)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Good Knowledge in tally

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• At least 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field
• Certification or experience in typewriting is highly preferred
• Good communication skill
• Good Knowledge in Tally
