Roles and responsibilities
To generate inquiries from the OEM and End User customers and ensure timely submission of offers and proposals. The focus should be on maximizing the quote-to-order conversion.
To provide technical recommendations to the customers and discuss the features and benefits of products with them.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively supporting the sales process of the product evaluation stage, working in conjunction with the sales team.
The Sales Engineer will also provide post-sales support, including identifying any issues that may arise during the training and demonstration of products.
Coordinating with the back-office sales team for submission of proposals/offers/quotations to the customer within the specified time frame.
Contact and develop prospective and existing clients and work to the activity targets set prospecting for new clients.
Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customers.
Creating new business development avenues such as new customers, newly developed products, service contracts, etc.
Generating weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual sales reports.
