- Individual Counselling:
- Provide one-on-one counselling to students dealing with personal, emotional, or behavioural issues.
- Support students with career decision-making, goal setting, and academic concerns.
- Group Counselling Workshops:
- Lead small group counselling sessions for students facing similar challenges (e.g., social skills, study habits, coping strategies).
- Organize and conduct workshops on topics such as mental health awareness, stress management, time management, and building self-esteem.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Offer immediate support to students in crisis situations and make appropriate referrals to external mental health professionals, if necessary.
- Provide guidance and assistance to students coping with bullying, grief, trauma, or substance abuse.
- Collaboration Communication:
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to identify students in need of support and to discuss individual progress.
- Develop and maintain confidential records of student sessions and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and privacy laws.
- Provide guidance to school staff on mental health, wellness, and supporting students with special needs or challenging circumstances.
- Support Academic Success:
- Counsel students on study skills, time management, and academic motivation.
- Identify academic challenges or learning difficulties and collaborate with teachers to create support strategies for students.
- Referral and External Support:
- Help students and families access appropriate community resources, including mental health services, social services, or academic tutoring, when needed.
- Prevention and Wellness Programs:
- Implement and promote school-wide initiatives aimed at improving mental health and overall well-being, such as anti-bullying programs and resilience-building activities.
