Working as part of the ship's deck department, you will be responsible for various navigational and operational duties, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and maintaining a high standard of safety at all times
Key Responsibilities:Navigation and Watchkeeping:Stand regular watches on the bridge to ensure the vessel's safe navigation
Plot and monitor the ship's course, speed, and position
Take appropriate actions to avoid collisions, grounding, and other navigational hazards
Safety Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to international maritime regulations and safety protocols
Conduct regular safety drills and training for the crew
Maintain familiarity with emergency procedures and equipment
Communication:Maintain communication with other vessels, port authorities, and shore-based personnel
Use radio, satellite, and other communication equipment effectively
Cargo Operations:Oversee loading and unloading operations, ensuring proper stowage and securing of cargo
