Structural Engineer

Structural Engineers at all levels Access Design Solutions Degree in Structural Engineering. Master s qualification preferred. ETABS, SAFE, RAM Concept, Idea STATICA.

Skills Required:

• Good understanding and hands on experience with Reinforced Concrete/ Post Tension/ Structural Steel & Composite analysis, calculation, design & documentation of elements, connections and overall structure, Checking of Shop drawings.
• Good understanding of American/ Australian/ Euro/ IS codes and ability to confidently implement the provisions for the assigned works and independently capable of advising on subtle changes with project requirements and handling project teams.

• Good knowledge of work procedures and ensure work adheres to procedures.
• Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team on them.
• Responsible for completion of projects to time and cost.
• Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team, able to apply knowledge gained.
• Able to reliably manage a team. Regular supervision of other junior staff.
• Increasing knowledge of, and use of, ADSPL capabilities outside of business units.
• Developing relationships with ADSPL colleagues outside of the business area.
• Report on own performance on a regular basis including (viz., timesheets)

• Regular client contact.
• Building relationships with limited set of common clients.
• Clear understanding of local business (Divisional) technologies and markets.
• Successful in identifying and following through on leads/suggestions associated with existing clients.
• Able to respond professionally to enquiries.
• Able to manage the drafting of responses to bids within their area of expertise.
• Able to realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise.
• Able to work on several projects, and to communicate clearly with a range of people/ teams. Flexible and enthusiastic; team player.

• Demonstrates basic level of competence and responsibility according to grade

Job Description:

• Demonstrates ability to understand complex projects in integration. Takes responsibility of checking less experienced colleagues work for quality project delivery. Exhibits clear progression towards a technical or management career path. Conducts Technical training as and when there is a new technology to be implemented.
