Safety Mechanical Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee and implement safety measures for mechanical projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical project management and safety assurance. This role involves planning, execution, and monitoring of projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Management:
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis for mechanical systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards (OSHA, ISO, etc.) and local regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines for mechanical projects.
• Monitor and audit project sites to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
2. Project Planning and Execution:
• Assist in designing, planning, and managing mechanical projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
3. Inspection and Maintenance:
• Inspect mechanical equipment and systems for safety and operational efficiency.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive measures are implemented.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to project management teams.
• Develop training materials and conduct safety training sessions for team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical project management and safety implementation.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, ISO, NFPA, etc.) and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• NEBOSH or other occupational health and safety certifications.
