What Youll Do
Avalara is looking for a passionate, Inside Strategic Alliance Manager to join our growing organization. You will work directly with sales executives from Oracle, SAP, and Workday to create opportunities to sell Avalara solutions to customers of these three partners. You will also support a field Alliances team to set appointments and help manage the active pipeline among a team of Strategic Alliance Managers.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Engage direct sellers at Oracle, SAP, and Workday
- Maintain a diverse portfolio of contacts within these three partners
- Develop contact information and log calls and communications in Salesforce
- You will be a contact to increase partner knowledge and train partner sellers regarding general sales and use tax, Avalara products, services, resources, and differentiators
- Create partner-referred pipeline through proactive prospecting within the partners customer-facing reps
- Participate in partner marketing efforts led by Partner Marketing Managers for marketing and co-marketing activities
- Grow your partner contact base through proactive engagement in targeted channels
- Provide clear and organized reporting regarding your active pursuits and sales pipeline
- Provide feedback to Enterprise Alliances and Sales teams regarding marketing intelligence, competition, knowledge gaps, and other valuable insights gained while working with partner sales teams
- Guide communication between the partner sales teams and Avalara sales teams to help build working relationships resulting in increased bookings that exceed your goals
- Manage a daily queue of inquiries from partners and prospects regarding pipeline, sales, escalations.
- Inside Strategic Alliance Manager will follow 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM India time
- You will report to Manager Inside Strategic Alliance and Partner Development and work from Pune office
What Youll Need to be Successful
- Must have 3+ years of Partner/Channel experience with Enterprise customers (Oracle/SAP experience)
- Have a solid sales foundation with an, optimistic personality
- Create genuine relationships through phone, email, and web meetings
- Must have experience with your work and an ability to apply that passion to both daily tasks and larger projects
- Competency with Salesforce, Microsoft Suite (Atlassian/JIRA)
